Herrera has recently been awarded a contract by the Tulalip Tribes to provide consulting engineering services for the Chelsea Premium Outlets Development, a proposed 480,000 square foot retail center, on the Tribes’ land in Tulalip, Washington. Herrera is assisting the Tulalip Tribes with review and approval of design plans for construction site erosion and sediment control features and permanent drainage systems. Herrera will evaluate onsite and offsite surface and groundwater conditions and review the design plans for compliance with the Tulalip Tribes’ stormwater management manual. Herrera will provide comments on the design plans to the developer’s engineering consultants, and ensure that the design plans are revised as necessary to meet the Tribes’ requirements for the site. Herrera staff will also conduct inspections of temporary and permanent drainage facilities at key times during construction.
