Our ecology-based landscape architecture asserts a holistic approach to site design. Whether creating stormwater drainage features, an urban public plaza, or restoring a large floodplain along a major river, Herrera works to bring a site both functional ecological uplift and regional cultural relevance. Landscape architecture also provides many of the collaborative design tools our teams need to create more sophisticated design solutions that respond to specific site conditions and needs. Starting a project with information sharing, multi-disciplinary brainstorming, and team design allows us to avoid design and permitting issues that often arise without clear, collaborative communication.
