Civil and Environmental Engineering
Herrera provides a full range of civil and environmental engineering services to public and private sector clients.
Our engineers work closely with our planners and scientists to understand project constraints and develop cost-effective solutions that enable clients to obtain permits. Our engineers work on all aspects of projects: regulatory issues; planning; modeling; design; preparation of plans, specifications, and cost estimates (PS&E); and construction management. This experience allows them to incorporate “big picture” project issues into the specialized analysis required during each project phase.
Our capabilities include design of all components of civil projects including grading, drainage, sanitary sewers, utilities, and site access roads; design of wastewater conveyance and treatment systems; solid waste management and design for landfills, transfer stations, leachate systems, and gas collection and extraction systems; construction management including constructability reviews, scheduling, cost estimating, onsite inspection, and contract administration; and restoration design for bank stabilization, stream and river restoration, coastal restoration, and wetland restoration.
